About Avro
Avro Football Club were founded in 1936 at the Failsworth factory of British aircraft manufacturer Avro. They spent decades in the Manchester League, winning multiple Manchester County Cup titles and three Premier Division championships between 2009 and 2018.
Rapid recent progress took Avro from the North West Counties League into the Northern Premier League. After finishing as NPL Division One West runners-up in 2025–26, they won promotion to the Premier Division via the play-offs — their highest ever level.

The ground has also hosted Oldham Boro, Rochdale Town, Golcar United and Oldham R.L.F.C. at various times. It is currently known as the Vestacare Stadium for sponsorship purposes.
