About Aylesbury United

Aylesbury United are a Buckinghamshire club nicknamed the Ducks, formed in 1897 and now majority community-owned. They have been without a permanent home in Aylesbury since leaving Buckingham Road in 2006 and currently groundshare at Chesham United's Meadow.

They compete in the Southern League Division One Central for the 2026/27 season. In 2025–26 they finished 16th of 22. Early-season home league fixtures in 2026/27 are scheduled at Beaconsfield Town's Holloways Park, with dates subject to cup ties and Beaconsfield's own fixtures.

The Meadow has a capacity of 5,000 with 284 seats. The club's long-term aim remains returning to a community stadium in Aylesbury.

Stadium History & Features

Aylesbury United were formed in 1897 from a merger of local sides and reached the Football Conference in 1987–88 after winning the Southern League Premier Division. Their best FA Cup run came in 1994–95 when Cliff Hercules's "duck walk" celebration featured on BBC television after they reached the third round.

Evicted from Buckingham Road in 2006, the club groundshared at Chesham, Leighton Buzzard and Thame before returning to The Meadow in 2017. The Aylesbury United Supporters Trust took control in 2009 and the club became majority community-owned in 2026.
