About Biggleswade Town

Biggleswade Town are one of Bedfordshire's oldest clubs, established in 1874 and nicknamed the Waders. They play at Langford Road Stadium, opened in 2008 after leaving the shared Fairfield Road ground.

They compete in the Southern League Division One Central for the 2026/27 season. In 2025–26 they finished 4th of 22. They were Division One Central champions in 2023–24 but were relegated back after one season in the Premier Division Central.

Langford Road has a capacity of 3,000 with 300 seats. The club also hosts Biggleswade Town Youth FC from Under-6 to Under-16.

Biggleswade Town won the Bedfordshire Senior Cup in 1902–03 as founder members of the Biggleswade & District League. They climbed through the United Counties, Spartan South Midlands and Southern leagues, reaching the FA Cup first round in 2014–15.

The Carlsberg Stadium — now Langford Road Stadium — opened in August 2008 with a 1–0 win over Hertford Town. The club won Division One Central in 2023–24 under Danny Payne before immediate relegation from the Premier Division Central.

Getting to Langford Road Stadium

By car

From the A1 northbound, take the second Biggleswade exit (A6001), continue through Teal Road and Hitchin Street, go under the A1 and the ground entrance is 200m on the right on Langford Road (biggleswadetownfc.com).

From the A1 southbound, take the first Biggleswade exit at the Sainsbury's roundabout and follow the same route.

By train

Biggleswade station is on the King's Cross–Peterborough line, about 1 km from the ground. Walk down Saffron Road, turn left onto Hitchin Street, continue under the A1 and the ground is on the right (biggleswadetownfc.com).
