About Bourne Town

Bourne Town Football Club are based in Bourne, Lincolnshire. Nicknamed the Wakes after Hereward the Wake, they were formed in 1883 and play at the JJ Mac Stadium on Abbey Road (Abbey Lawn) in the Northern Premier League Midlands for 2026/27.

They finished 19th of 22 in 2025–26 after winning the 2024–25 UCL Premier Division North play-off final on penalties against Boston Town. Floodlights were installed at Abbey Lawn in 1989 and two new stands were erected in 2024.

The ground is a shared Bourne United Charities facility also used by Bourne Cricket Club and other local sports clubs, with the Len Pick Suite clubhouse named in 2006.

Bourne have played at Abbey Lawn on Abbey Road since 1883. They won four United Counties League Premier Division titles between 1968 and 1991 and were demoted in 2009–10 when the ground was not fully enclosed, returning after ground improvements enabled promotion in 2023–24.

Peterborough United Women played home fixtures at Abbey Lawn from 2022–23 to 2024–25. Record attendance is 4,000 vs Billingborough in the 1922 Ancaster Cup final.
