About Bowers and Pitsea
Bowers & Pitsea Football Club are based in Pitsea, Essex. Nicknamed Bowers, they were established in 1946 as Bowers United and play at the Len Salmon Stadium on Crown Avenue.

Stadium History & Features
The club moved to Crown Avenue after Gun Meadow was subject to a compulsory purchase order when the A13 was built. The ground was officially opened with a friendly against an ex-Tottenham Hotspur All-Star team and now features a seated stand and covered standing terrace.
Bowers & Pitsea were Isthmian North champions in 2018–19, reached the FA Cup first round in 2021–22, and won the Essex Thameside Trophy in 2022–23 with a 3–2 final win over Grays Athletic.

Getting to Len Salmon Stadium
By Car
From the A13, take the Pitsea turn-off, pass Tesco at the first roundabout, take the third exit (Ashlyns) at the next roundabout, go straight at the following roundabout, then at the next roundabout take the second exit and first left into Kenneth Road. Follow Kenneth Road to the end, turn right and immediately left into the ground.
From the A127, take the Wickford turn-off, third exit at the roundabout, straight over two roundabouts, then left (Ashlyns) at the third roundabout and follow the A13 directions above. From the A130, take the Canvey Island turn-off and join the A13.
Travel Tip
If the main car park is full, bowerspitseafc.co.uk directs visitors to the Eversley centre on Crest Avenue — follow the pathway through the car park into Crown Avenue to reach the ground entrance.
