About Didcot Town

Didcot Town are based in Didcot, Oxfordshire. Nicknamed the Railwaymen (also Diddy), they were founded in 1907 and play at the Loop Meadow Stadium on the Ladygrove estate.

They compete in the Southern League Division One Central for the 2026/27 season, having transferred from Division One South. In 2025–26 they finished 13th of 22 in Division One South.

Loop Meadow has a capacity of 3,000 with 350 seats, a 150-seat main stand and covered terracing. The ground hosted 2,707 spectators for an FA Cup first-round tie against Exeter City in 2015.

Stadium History & Features

Didcot won the FA Vase in 2004–05 under Stuart Peace and were Hellenic League champions the following season. They reached the Southern League Premier Division via the 2009 play-offs but were relegated in 2010–11.

The club moved to Loop Meadow in 1999 after selling their Station Road ground. Jamie Heapy is the first-team manager, reappointed in 2018–19 after earlier spells in charge.

By car

From the A34 take the A4130 towards Didcot. At the first roundabout take the first exit, at the next take the third exit, then straight across the following two roundabouts. At the fifth roundabout turn right into Avon Way; after half a mile cross a mini-roundabout and the ground is on the left (pitchero.com/clubs/didcottown).

By train

Didcot Parkway is about half a mile away. Walk left out of the main entrance, after 300 yards turn left under the Cow Lane bridge and the ground is on the left across the park (pitchero.com/clubs/didcottown).

Travel Tip

Didcot Parkway is very close to Loop Meadow — one of the easiest rail-to-ground walks at this level.
