Eastbourne Town are based in Eastbourne, East Sussex. Founded on 19 October 1881 as Devonshire Park F.C., they are the oldest senior football club in Sussex and play at The Saffrons.

They compete in the Isthmian League South East for the 2026/27 season. In 2025–26 they finished 11th of 22. The club won the 2023–24 Southern Combination play-offs to return to Step 4.

Stadium History & Features

Eastbourne Town won the Sussex Senior Cup eight times between 1889 and 1903 and were founding members of the Sussex County FA in 1882. They added 'Town' to their name in 1971–72.

The club's wooden grandstand was destroyed by arson in 1969 and was not replaced until 1994. They have won the Sussex County League/Southern Combination title twice, in 1976–77 and 2006–07.

By train

Southern Railway serves Eastbourne from London Victoria, Gatwick Airport, Brighton, Hastings and Ashford International (eastbournetown.com).

From the station, walk via Grove Road past the Town Hall. Continue past the ground and turn right into Compton Place Road — the entrance is via the car park. Allow 10–15 minutes on foot.
