About Emley
Emley Association Football Club are the phoenix club formed in 2005 after the original Emley side relocated to Wakefield. The historic village club famously reached the FA Cup third round in 1997–98, beating Morecambe and Lincoln City before losing at West Ham United.
Renamed Emley AFC in 2019, the club climbed from the Northern Counties East League to the Northern Premier League. They won the 2025–26 NPL Division One East play-offs, beating Bradford (Park Avenue) on penalties in the final to reach step 3 for the first time.

The Welfare Ground in Emley has a capacity of 2,000 (305 seated) and is shared with Emley Clarence Cricket Club, making it a three-sided ground with a fence along the cricket-field side during the football season.
Stands include the Alec Hardy Main Stand, the Richard Hirst Stand (The Shed) behind one goal, and the Warburton End. Upgrades in 2023–25 brought Kirklees Stadium seats, LED floodlights, an electronic scoreboard and hospitality facilities.
