Stadium History & Features

The original Hanley Town clubs date to the 19th century, with the last folding in 1912. The current club began in 1966 from a Sunday pub team called the Trumpet, winning the Longton League at the first attempt before progressing through Staffordshire and Mid-Cheshire leagues.

Hanley left Victoria Road in 1971, groundshared at Leek Town's Harrison Park from 1974–76, then moved to Potteries Park. NWCFL Division One titles in 2015–16 and Midland League Premier Division crowns in 2021–22 and 2025–26 brought Step 4 football back to Abbey Lane.
