Hertford Town won back-to-back Delphian League titles in 1960–61 and 1961–62 and lifted the East Anglian Cup in 1962–63. They joined the Isthmian League in 1972 and were Spartan South Midlands League runners-up in 2016–17 before promotion to the Isthmian League.

The club moved to Hertingfordbury Park in 1908 when Blue Cross were absorbed. They were transferred to the Southern League Division One Central at the end of the curtailed 2020–21 season.
