About Hitchin Town

Hitchin Town were reformed in 1928 and claim lineage from the original Hitchin FC founded in 1865 — one of the FA Cup's inaugural competitors. Known as the Canaries, they have spent most of their modern history in the Southern and Isthmian leagues.

After relegation from the Southern Premier in 2024–25, Hitchin bounced back immediately, finishing second in Division One Central in 2025–26 and winning promotion via the play-offs.
