About Little Oakley
Little Oakley Football Club are based in Little Oakley, Essex. Founded in 1947 as Little Oakley War Memorial and nicknamed The Acorns, they play at the Memorial Ground on Harwich Road.
They were promoted to the Isthmian League North for 2026/27 after winning the Essex Senior League title on the final day of the 2025–26 season — their first promotion to Step 4.
Following promotion to the Eastern Counties League the ground was enclosed with railings, hardstanding and floodlights, and a small covered stand was built at the clubhouse end.

Little Oakley were Essex & Suffolk Border League Premier Division champions six times between 1986–87 and 2016–17 before stepping up through the Eastern Counties League and Essex Senior League.
The club were initially accepted into the Eastern Counties League in 1987–88 but failed ground grading. They eventually joined the ECL after winning the Border League in 2017.

By Car
From the north (Ipswich): take the A12 and A120 to Harwich, follow the A120 to the Ramsey/Dovercourt Bay roundabout, turn right on Church Hill (B1352), right into Mayes Lane at St Michael's Church, then right on Harwich Road (B1414). The Memorial Ground is signposted shortly on the right after Bay View Crescent.
From the south (Colchester): leave the A12 at Junction 29 for the A120 and follow the route above.
By Train
The nearest station is Dovercourt on the Manningtree–Harwich Town branch. Alight at Manningtree and change for Harwich. A taxi from Dovercourt is recommended over the Number 3 bus.
