About Manchester City
Manchester City Football Club was formed in 1880 and moved to the City of Manchester Stadium (now the Etihad Stadium) in 2003. The Etihad Stadium was built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games and was converted for football use when Manchester City moved from Maine Road. The stadium has been expanded and now has a large single-tier South Stand. Away fans are located in the third tier of the South Stand, with dedicated concourse and catering.

Getting to the Etihad Stadium
By Tram (Metrolink)
Etihad Campus is the nearest Metrolink stop, on the Ashton-under-Lyne line. It is a short walk from the tram stop to the stadium. Services run from Manchester Piccadilly, Victoria, and other central stops. On matchdays, trams can be busy; allow extra time.
By Train
The nearest mainline station is Manchester Piccadilly. From there, take the Metrolink to Etihad Campus. The journey is about 10–15 minutes. Manchester Victoria also connects to the Ashton line.
By Bus
