About Newcastle Town

Newcastle Town Football Club are based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. Nicknamed the Castle, they were formed in 1964 and play at the Lyme Valley Stadium — currently known as the GRG Stadium — in the Northern Premier League West for 2026/27.

They finished 14th of 22 in 2025–26. The club emerged in its current form from a merger with Parkway Clayton in 1986 and won the North West Counties League Premier Division in 2009–10.

The ground sits in the Lyme Valley Parkway beside the Lyme Brook and is unusual for having a cycling velodrome around the pitch, with covered accommodation for 1,000 and seating for 300.
