About Ossett United

Ossett United were formed on 1 June 2018 by the merger of Ossett Town (1936) and Ossett Albion (1944). They play at Ingfield, the long-time home of Ossett Town, in the centre of Ossett.

Both predecessor clubs had extensive Northern Premier League experience. Ingfield has seen major post-merger investment including new seating, LED floodlights and upgraded changing facilities supported by Football Foundation grants.

Ossett Town bought the Ingfield site in 1957 after selling Derrick Blackburn to Swansea Town and moved in for the 1959–60 season. The ground on Prospect Road sits opposite Ossett bus station.

Post-merger works added seating in the Prospect Road Stand, Kelly's Sports Bar, the Graham Firth Hospitality Suite, a club shop and snack bar. Dimple Wells, formerly used for women's and academy fixtures, was surrendered in 2020 making Ingfield the sole first-team base.

Away Fan Seating

No fixed away end is published. Away supporters use general seating and terracing, including the Prospect Road Stand and open areas.

Getting to Ingfield

By Car

From M1 J40 take the A638 towards Dewsbury, then first left onto Wakefield Road, sixth left onto Dale Street signed Ossett town centre, then left at the traffic lights — Ingfield is on the left.

By Bus

Ossett bus station is directly opposite the ground. From Dewsbury station (3.5 miles) take bus 126 to Ossett bus station. From Wakefield Westgate (3.9 miles) take the 126 towards Dewsbury to the same stop.

Travel Tip

Ingfield is in Ossett town centre — the 126 bus from Dewsbury or Wakefield stops at the bus station opposite the ground.

Parking Information

Use town-centre public car parks; do not park on residential streets.

Prospect Road (WF5 8AE), Union Street (WF5 9BT), Illingworth Street (WF5 8AL), Ventnor Way (WF5 8NT) and New Street (WF5 0SF) are within five minutes' walk. Most are low-fee and free after 4 pm — check signs.
