About Wellingborough Town

Wellingborough Town claim origins in 1867 and are nicknamed the Doughboys — thought to derive from the local 'ock 'n' dough' dish. The current club was reformed in 2004 after the previous club folded in 2002.

They returned to their historic London Road ground at the Dog and Duck and climbed back through the United Counties League. As 2023–24 Premier Division South champions they won promotion to the Northern Premier League Midlands.

They finished 9th in the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands in 2025–26.
