Welwyn Garden City won the 2017–18 Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division title under Adam Fisher, setting club records for unbeaten runs before promotion to the Southern League. They won the 2014–15 Division One title and cup double under Fisher.
The club merged with Welwyn Garden United in 1972–73 to form Welwyn Garden FC briefly, winning the South Midlands League Premier Division at the first attempt under Alex Massie.
