Winslow United won the South Midlands League Division One title in 1974–75 and reached the FA Vase second round proper in 1983–84 and 2025–26. They won the 2023–24 Spartan South Midlands Division One play-offs to return to Step 5 after 32 years.

The Recreation Ground at Elmfields Gate was established in 1949 when the parish council purchased the land. Senior football was withdrawn in 2009–10 to focus on youth development before returning in 2010–11.
