Wroxham Football Club are based in Wroxham, Norfolk. Nicknamed the Yachtsmen, they were established in 1892 by George Preston, a former captain of the Norfolk County team.

They compete in the Isthmian League North for the 2026/27 season. In 2025–26 they finished 8th of 22. They were FA Vase finalists in 2009–10, losing 6–1 to Whitley Bay at Wembley.

Home matches are at The Ginger Pickle Arena at Trafford Park on Skinners Lane. The Les King Stand was built in 1990 and floodlights erected in the early 1990s.

Wroxham dominated the Anglian Combination in the 1980s with five Premier Division titles, then won the inaugural Eastern Counties League Division One in 1988–89. They won eight ECL Premier Division titles in total.

The club reached the Isthmian League North in 2011–12 as ECL champions but were relegated in 2016–17 before returning in 2021–22 as Premier Division runners-up.

Trafford Park record attendance is 1,262 for an FA Vase semi-final against Whitehawk in September 2010. The ground is dog-friendly.

Getting to Trafford Park

By Train

Hoveton & Wroxham is the nearest station (Bittern Line between Norwich and Sheringham). On leaving the station follow signs for the village centre — the ground is a steady 20-minute walk.

Cross the River Bure by footbridge, walk up Norwich Road, then follow the signpost right to Wroxham FC leading to Skinners Lane.

By Bus

Bus 5B goes up Norwich Road. Alight at the bus stop opposite Roy's Petrol Station, cross Norwich Road, walk back towards Wroxham and turn left where signposted — the Ginger Pickle Arena is at the bottom of Skinners Lane.

By Car

Follow the A1270 Norwich NDR to the A1151 Wroxham Road roundabout, continue towards Wroxham, take the left into Castle Street (signposted Skinners Lane), and the ground is at the bottom of the lane.

Travel Tip

Hoveton & Wroxham station is around a 20-minute walk — follow signage from Norwich Road into Skinners Lane.
